Our Tradition

Since opening in 1988, The Gatesworth, a pioneer in providing area seniors with a wide variety of quality services in a warm residential environment, has won numerous local and national awards, including being named one of the "Nation's Top 10 Retirement Communities" by Forbes Magazine.

With McKnight Place Assisted Living and McKnight Place Extended Care on The Gatesworth campus and Parc Provence in nearby Creve Coeur, we are able to provide our Residents a comprehensive continuum of care services. In addition, our local owners have offices on-site and are always available to meet with Residents and/or their families.

When you arrive at The Gatesworth, you'll immediately notice the beautifully landscaped surroundings. Our 12-acre campus features a lake, private parks, walking paths, and a putting green, making it easy for Residents and their guests to enjoy the outdoors.

Once you've explored the picturesque grounds, allow our doormen to invite you inside. Stand beneath the dramatic four-story atrium and take in everything our community has to offer. Here in our welcoming foyer, you'll find an abundance of intimate common space for meeting and greeting friends.

After you've chatted with members of our attentive staff, visit one of our beautiful apartment Residences and see what we mean by spacious, luxury living. Impeccably decorated in neutral, warm colors and textures, Gatesworth Residences offer up to 3,200 square feet of living space. Apartments feature fully equipped kitchens, private patios or balconies, dens, formal dining rooms, and breakfast rooms. Built-in washers and dryers, walk-in closets and beautiful bay windows complete the picture.

In 2009, The Gatesworth introduced our exquisite West Wing addition. The West Wing features beautifully appointed living and dining areas and 38 spacious luxury apartments with fine finishes like granite countertops, raised panel cherry wood cabinets, wet bars, expansive terraces and more.

We invite you to explore everything The Gatesworth has to offer. We think you'll agree - a typical day at The Gatesworth is anything but typical.
